What is the difference between the types of metal for the rings?

Tungsten is a heavier and much harder metal compared to titanium. It is scratch resistant, but also more brittle because of its hardness. Tungsten rings can shatter, crack, or chip if dropped or struck; it just depends on the force and area of impact.

Titanium is a very lightweight metal and is more durable than tungsten. It won't break but is more prone to scratching.

Steel rings are similar to titanium, but are more malleable and easier to scratch.

By nature, these metals are not black. Tungsten is a dark grey color, and titanium and steel are a lighter silver color. The rings are coated in black alloy plating. This coating can eventually wear off, the duration of which is dependent on the individual wearing it. Light fading can happen naturally after a few years of wear. Heavier and quicker fading is caused by excessive contact with abrasive substances or chemicals, hard surfaces, or frequent exposure to water. In terms of color, tungsten rings are known to last longer than titanium.

How do the rings fit?

Every now and then we hear questions or concerns about our rings "fitting" differently, which is completely understandable. But unlike with clothing, all rings, in general, are sized by a universal measurement (with the only variance being the actual unit of measurement in other countries).  There is no size difference between men's and women's styles, or types of metal; nor is there any difference in the fit of our rings versus others.

Can the rings be resized?

Tungsten cannot be resized because it is too hard and will break before it ever stretches.

Titanium and steel can be resized, but it could damage the finish on the ring, which is why we don't recommend it, nor do we offer it. You would have to see a jeweler for this.


What is the turnaround time for an engraved Honor Ring?

All engravings are done through a separate business that we are partnered with.  Rings are sent to engraving as soon as the order is processed, and the typical turnaround time is about 2-3 weeks before they are ready to be shipped. Times can vary depending on the volume of orders, as well as the workload and availability of the engraver.

Can I come into your office to make my purchase?

If you’d like to visit our office to learn more about us, try on rings, and/or to make a purchase, we would love to meet you. We just ask that you please contact us in advance to give us a heads-up of your visit so we can best accommodate you.

I am having issues with ordering on the website. How can I place my order?

If for some reason you are experiencing problems with placing your order, please contact us and let us know of the issue.  We can also take your order over the phone if necessary.


What is your shipping policy?

All orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 business days*.  All items in your order are shipped in one single shipment.  This means that orders that include engraved rings will ship in full once the engraving is complete.  Partial shipments are possible upon request in this case.

US orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail and typically arrive within 2-3 business days. (Shipping times are as stated by USPS, and we cannot guarantee anything.  Once the order has shipped, we cannot account for any possible delays.)

If any items are on backorder, we will be sure to notify you as soon as we can. Any available items will still be shipped as a partial shipment by default.

*Please be aware that as a small organization, we occasionally may be out of the office for events that come up during any day of the week, and therefore we may not be able to ship any orders on that particular day.  This means that on rare occasions, the shipment of your order may be delayed.

Do you ship internationally?

International orders are shipped using USPS First Class International. Orders can take anywhere from 7-21 days for delivery.

*Please note that customs in your country may request additional handling fees to be paid before they deliver your package. Unfortunately at the moment, we don't know of any way to avoid these extra charges.

What are your shipping rates?

Shipping cost is based on USPS rates and is dependent on the total weight of the items purchased.

How can I track my order status/shipment?

Once your shipping label has been created, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. Be aware that tracking information will not be available until it has been processed through the post office.

If for some reason you did not receive the email, you can also use the Order Lookup on our site. If the order has shipped, you will see the tracking number.

Can I pick up my order?

Although it is not an option that is available through the store, we still welcome anyone who wants to pick up an order from our office.

If you would like to place an order ahead to pick it up, you will still be required to proceed with payment including the shipping charges, but we can refund you for those charges once you pick up your order.

  • Standard items are usually ready for pick-up as soon as you have completed your order, as long as the items are in stock.
  • For engraved rings, please let us know of your intention to pick it up, and we can then contact you once it is ready.

It is best to call or email us in advance just to let us know when to expect you.



*All engraved rings are made to order. For this reason, we cannot accept returns/exchanges for engraved rings. To ensure the size is correct, please visit your local jewelry store to get the most accurate measurement before making a purchase. Let the jeweler know that you want to get sized for an 8mm comfort fit ring.

For standard rings and all other items, if something does not fit as expected, please mail it back to us, including a note referencing your order number and the new requested size(s).

  • If this was a sizing error on your part, then you will be responsible for your own return shipping cost. Once we have received the returned item(s), we will ship your replacement(s).
  • If there was an error on our end, and you did not receive what you ordered, or an item was damaged or otherwise defective, please email us at info@1tribefoundation.org and let us know so we can make the exchange. Once we have verified the order, we will send you the correct item(s) with packaging and postage included for you to return any items, if necessary. 


If for any reason you decide to return an order, please mail the item(s) back to us. We will refund you for the value of the returned item(s) as soon as we receive them (this does not include shipping charges unless the reason for the return was due to an error on our part).

If you want to cancel an order that has not yet been shipped, please let us know immediately and we will refund you the full amount of the order.  You can also log in to your account and cancel an order yourself.


Important note on return shipments

When shipping rings, please use a thick or padded envelope, as opposed to a regular white envelope.  We have had cases in the past with rings being torn out during transit and we just received an empty envelope.
